In the Master of Arts degree in Accounting & Financial Management, the Chinese students deepen their knowledge of Accounting and Financing to supplement the specialisation modules from their Bachelor course. Students learn to comprehensively understand and strategically control financing and accounting. International developments in accounting standards and capital markets are included in the course and, together with social and methodical skills, provide students with an excellent grounding for their careers.

With the focus on key aspects of accounting such as International Accounting, Consolidated Accounts, Balance Sheet Analysis and Accounting Policy as well as empirical accounting and thanks to the combination with modules from Financial Management such as Corporate Finance and Asset Management, all relevant areas are covered.

The full-time study programme is completed in just 15 months. This time model offers graduates the opportunity to enter the Chinese job market at an optimum time. The teaching language is German. Combined with the intercultural experience gained during the stay in Germany, the MA course also prepares graduates for professional activity in Germany.

Accreditation (Master)

The FOM University of Applied Sciences is accredited by the German Council for Science and Humanities for its special service to education and research and was the first private university in Germany to receive system-accreditation by the FIBAA in 2012. This seal of approval proves that the quality management of the FOM University meets the high standards of the Accreditation Council, the most important body for the quality of studies and education at German universities. In 2018 the FOM University received system-accreditation for further eight years. Thus, all courses of study offered by the FOM are accredited. A Master’s degree from the FOM University enables entry to a subsequent a PhD programme.
