As an initiative of an economically focused foundation, FOM International University offers financially manageable full-time and part-time degree courses. State recognised and system accredited
When the first courses started in 1994, FOM International University was already state recognised. All degree courses are accredited and all qualifications are globally recognised in the business world. In 2012, the internationally focused accreditation agency FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) checked the quality management system of FOM and awarded FOM the rating of system accredited. This means that FOM is able to develop and run new degree courses independently.

Connected with universities all around the globe
As an internationally active university, FOM has fostered a large network of cooperations with renowned universities in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and the USA. This allows students at FOM from Germany to gain study experience abroad, from a one-week language programme in New York to a two-week summer school in Cape Town or a semester abroad in France, Spain or Ireland. In return, the partner universities send students to FOM as part of cooperative degree programmes.

New knowledge for the economy
The practice-oriented teaching at FOM forms the basis for countless business cooperations: more than 10,000 universities, associations and local authorities support their own staff and apprentices by giving them access to a FOM degree course. FOM in turn uses the exciting exchange with the cooperation companies to develop tailor-made degree courses for businesses and their employees. In research at FOM, the specific practical relevance also plays a significant role. New academic findings from the research facilities flow directly into the teaching. Bachelor’s and, in particular, master’s students are already able to get actively involved in the research process during their degree course.
